The PlayStation Store listing says it in one line: "Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience." Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has put a date on a new Online. GTA 5's Online arrived two weeks after launch, so a wait wouldn't be new.

Rob Nelson, who co-runs Rockstar North, told Famitsu you can switch to either of them. It only locks during some story scenes, the same way GTA 5 did with Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

The $99.99 Ultimate Edition adds two extra mod shops, a Ganado Retro Build and some exclusive cars. Nothing Rockstar has put out says the $79.99 standard edition can't tune. The original story was about a handful of stores, and it grew on the way round.

What you eat actually matters now
Nelson told Famitsu food gives you buffs, three gym sessions three days running levels you up, and eating a lot makes you heavier. Starving to death like CJ is the made-up part. Nobody from Rockstar or the previews mentions hunger.

Snapmatic is back, but you can't post
Nelson to IGN: "We have Snapmatic. You have people that you follow and you can also just browse it." Posting? "No, because you're a couple on the run. You just lurk." You can still send photos to your partner.

You can't buy a house
People at the previews say safehouses come with the story, and Nelson told Famitsu you move between them as it goes. What you can buy is garages. You start with room for three cars. GTA 5's story didn't let you buy houses either.

There's no first-person mode
Creators who saw the game at Rockstar North say so. Flow Games says first person only kicks in when you aim certain weapons, and elrubius says Nelson told him it isn't in yet. GTA 5 didn't have it at launch either. It came a year later.

Fewer Mission Failed screens
Kinda Funny say Rockstar wants fewer moments where one mistake ends the mission. Nelson to IGN: "There is an optimal route that you're told to get out, but if you don't follow it, you can still get out." You can still fail, just less often.

No more mashing X to sprint
It mostly traces back to one creator, Rockstar hasn't confirmed it, and it isn't clear if it's a click or a hold. In every preview, Nelson did the playing and everyone else watched.

Cars do run on gas now. Nelson told Flow Games about a stolen car that ran dry mid-chase. The 45-minute number has nothing behind it: it came from a Short posted before any previews that called itself a rumor. A fill-up takes about ten seconds, and electric cars get charging points.

The police remember a description of you: your clothes, your car, your weapon. Nelson told IGN, and Rockstar's own gameplay shows it. Change your shirt before you go looking for somewhere to hide.

You can't rampage with no consequences
Previews describe a Criminal Profile that runs from professional to psycho. Rockstar hasn't said what a bad profile does to the story, or whether reloading a save undoes it.

No red and blue dots, no vision cones. Enemies in general are off the minimap too. Spend a few minutes learning Focus before your first chase.

It started as a forum thread. What changed is the default lock-on behavior. Aiming is still in the settings, so pick what you want on day one.

People don't just run, they fight back
In GTA 5, pull a gun and the street empties. Nelson told IGN you can rob "pretty much anything" now, and shoppers, cashiers and drivers can push back.

You can't beat it in a weekend
The 80-hour figure is real, but it's one person's playthrough, and he knows where everything is. If you stop at every beach and bar, plan on a week.

Cops breathalyze you for drunk driving
Not in any trailer, the Extended Look or any preview. The only trace is one line on an unconfirmed list from the 2022 hack. GTA 6 does show plenty of drinking.

You can't steal every car you see
Nelson told IGN some parked cars stay locked until you have the right tools. You can still pull anyone out of a car that's being driven, so wait at a red light.

You can't carry a whole armory anymore
Everyone who saw it describes the same setup: two hidden handguns, two long guns, the rest in your car's trunk or at a hideout. Red Dead players know it already. Rockstar hasn't put out numbers.
